Coriander seeds
Coriander, also known as Chinese parsley, is an annual plant in the Apiaceae family. The stems and leaves of the plant are commonly called coriander.

Coriander is used in cuisines around the world, and the crushed seeds have a lemony citrus flavor. They are described as warm, nutty, spicy, and orange-tinged. Coriander seeds are a key ingredient in garam masala and Indian curries, often combined with cumin. They are also widely used in pickling vegetables. In Germany and South Africa, coriander seeds are used in sausages, and in Russia and Central Europe, they can be found in rye bread, such as Borodinsky bread, as an alternative to cumin. Coriander seeds are also used in the making of some types of beer, especially Belgian wheat beer.
